I am I shut off and turned on the device multiple times left it off for an hour or 2 at a time, comma when online signed in to it and reset it that way and you can call AT&T and they have no idea why it's not working because on their end it says it is and should be, so they cannot help me troubleShoot it, Why can't any of my devices connect to the hotspot somebody please help!

So I was able to finally get it fixed myself. I used my laptop and connected the hotspot direct into my computers USB port, which gave my laptop the ability to hard connect to the hotspot, then went onto the website http:hotspot.webui, which I was able to then login and do a factory reset on the device which completely fixed the issue. Funny that at&t had no other option for me other then to take it into an at&t store to have it replaced, but hey what can you expect from a company who's customer service is 100% outsourced to India.

Devices should be able to connect to the hotspot whether your data plan was working or not. The issue you describe is not a plan issue, it’s a device issue.

The device was working moments before I paid my monthly bill and literally none of my devices (several different cells and 2 laptops are unable to connect now) and it was working fine right up until I paid my current bill, with nothing that could have happened physically to the device. So what do I do to fix it?

Exact same thing happened to me right after I paid two days ago. I can’t get any help to fix it either

It says I have no data when I connect like my payment wasn’t applied to the device but it cleared my bank and my account says another payment isn’t due for a month.

We are here to help with the data on your device @Mlbmlbmlb.

We have a few questions to help further assist:

  • What type of device are you using? This will help us provide you with Troubleshooting steps for your device.
  • Have you checked your online account to make sure the payment was successfully applied? Without the payment posting successfully this can keep your device from being connected.
  • Let us know what you have done on your end to try to correct the no data on your device. You may need to restart your device for the connection to show.

Let us know!

I just got off the phone with at&t again about it,  after much dismay they suggested I just take the hotspot into an att store to be replaced.  I literally tried everything else so I guess this is the next step.  My payment posted to my account after I submitted it,  my account shows that I have 100 gb of data available plus an extra 5gb I purchased seeing if that would help and my account reflects that I have the 105gb available and my next payment isn't due until next month.  I tried doing a part cycle reset,  shutting it off and on,  then tried doing the manual reset with the reset button on the back of the device.  I cannot connect to the hotspot,  so I'm not able to go to the https://hotspot.webui portal to do a reset that way because you need to be connected to the hotspot in order to connect to it.  Att did their best to reset it remotely on their end but had no luck.  Finally I took the sim card out of the device and put it into a new iPhone 13 that I have to check if it was the sim card that was bad or if it's the device.  I turned the iPhone hotspot on as my Sim card for the hotspot router is only set up for data,  it couldn't call out but it did turn on the phone hotspot and allowed me to browse the internet on that phone as well as connect multiple devices to the iPhone hotspot which had my routers Sim card in it,  so the Sim card isn't the problem here,  something with the device itself is malfunctioning.  So tomorrow I will be bringing it into my att store with my receipt to see about having it replaced and if that fails I was told to just call att back for more troubleshooting afterwards.  Meanwhile,  still no internet for me at this point,  smh!

That is ridiculous! Mine started working again a day or two after I posted.  I just assumed everyone who was having that problem was fixed.  I definitely believe this is on their end. Like I said it’s like it was an issue on their end those couple of days.  Mine self corrected and it was exact same issue.  I replenished my balance and it stopped working.  It was working fine before.

@ATTHelp my device started working again all by itself. It was exact same problem that @ClarkKentGlasses had.  My device was working fine, I paid for the next month, and then all of a sudden the hotspot device wouldn’t connect to the internet. It kept saying I didn’t have any data but I just bought data. I’ve had the device a long time so I’m familiar with troubleshooting and I tried all that before I came on here.  I finally turned it off over night abs when I turned it back on the next day it was working.

This was after I had rebooted it several times and restored it to factory settings.  It’s like the payment processing messed up with the Device and the device thought it had no data.
