My connection is diconnected

My unite-b142 worked fine up until a week ago.  I have 23 days left on my plan which is supposed to be unlimited (ipad landing) is where I go to purchase my plan. I tried to follow the alert my device is showing by connecting to a network how ever when I press connect nothing happens . I got another data plan 2 days ago thinking maybe that would fix it and nothing still . The device shows as a connection option when I scan with my tv to connect but again it says not connected to a network. What is going on? How to fix this issue and get my device to connect to a network??   Please help I cant find any answers.

We can help you with session based data, @Dwickline.

Are you using a SIM swapped from an iPad in your Unite-B142?

The ipadlanding site is used to purchase prepaid data for iPad's only. To purchase a data plan for your Unite-B142 please visit att.com/buyasession.

We encourage you to check out AT&T DataConnect Pass plans for Tablets and Other Mobile Devices for more information. Please let us know if we can provide additional support. Thank you!

@ATTHelp I guess that I could of used an Ipad sim (IDK) I bought it online almost a year ago and followed the inclosed instructions and It has worked just fine until a couple weeks ago. I just purchased a renewal on 7/1/20 that has already came off my debit card can I get that either refunded or transfered to the proper type of account I should of had ?  Thanks for your help  I would of done this different if I knew there were different SIM cards for different devices . I just thought Ipad's and hotspot's , watches, were iPad data only plans .

This is a prepaid service and it does not refund.

The plan you bought was always meant for tablets, never a dedicated hotspot.

You can move the SIM card into a tablet and contact AT&T to correct the IMEI to agree with your tablet and hope they will agree to let you continue service at least until the end of your paid term.

ATTHelp is correct.  You used an ipad sim in a device that was not permitted.  The IMEI sweep picked it up and shut you off.
Either use an iPad, or deal with the limited plans for the mifi
