Mobile Hotspot not working with ActiveArmor

Since switching to the ActiveArmor service a week ago, I have had issues using my Hotspot. I get the message "there are network errors". Restarting my phone helped once but now won't. Any ideas?? Can't always get Wi-Fi and need my Hotspot.

Here's what you can do to try to resolve your experience with AT&T ActiveArmor on your Samsung Galaxy S21. Open the Network section and turn off Safe Browsing.

  1. Open Android settings.
  2. Tap Connections.
  3. Tap More connection settings.
  4. Tap VPN.
  5. Next to AT&T Active Armor VPN tap the gear icon.
  6. Tap Delete VPN.
  7. Open AT&T Active Armor.
  8. Tap Network.
  9. Under Safe Browsing, tap Set up Safe Browsing to turn it off.

This should allow other devices to connect to the smartphone as a mobile hotspot. This trend is caused by a switch between Wi-Fi and Cellular which is failing to reconnect. It's similar to calling from a home phone and getting a busy signal.

 

Also, make sure to install any updates you receive on your device. A system update notification is pushed to let customers know an update is ready to install. Learn how to check for software updates for the Samsung Galaxy S21 by visiting AT&T Device Support.

That did the trick! So, the mobile hotspot won’t work with the ActiveArmor? What is the easiest solution to fix this in the future, or is this the route every time?
