Just plain WRONG!

On the 18th or 19th of Feb i purchased a sim card from a Myrtle beach store in South Carolina. It was on a Sunday so the mall hours were short. I went in the store and it was packed i said id walk around for 20mins and go bk in since it was two people working. i went in after time passed and asked for a Sim card for my iPhone 7plus. They hooked it up yet there was an issue when it came to the number they said it wasn't giving them a 323 area which was weird since my zip code was 90270. I waited till they were done and she said she fixed it i paid and left the mall was already closed so i had to be escorted to the door since it was locked. When i got to my hotel room i was looking over everything and WOW did i get a shocker. I had an Atlanta Georgia number (HOW?) smh so first thing i did was call 611 since the physical store was closed I had not many options. I spoke to a Rep and they tell mi not only am i not having the correct number i was placed on a daily prepaid service and had 5 dollars left in the acct (smh) I had to pay extra money to get him to put mi on a plan for the $45. Then to my horror he tells mi i cant change my number, i need to wait to the 19th of next month to do it seriously... Fast forward to today I have called customer service 5x and still the same and for the first time after asking 4 different people i spoke to a supervisor. (Oh btw i called and asked for a supervisor before and was put on hold NO ONE called back). SO the supervisor told mi today that he would be happy to help mi by resetting the phone sim and putting the area code to a local number ! Oh really i thought finally i was so excited till he says "The thing is when we reset it you will lose your current plan and the money you paid, so you will need to pay $45 again to get your plan back" you're kidding right?

SO i ask this why am i having to buy a whole new plan when i haven't even passed 20day with this account?

It’s a cell number, not a land line. You get a number that is available for your state, not a town number.  Changing your number will not mean you get a number for your town.

I got a number for Atlanta Georgia (404) not Maywood California (323), I have a plan wireless account and it has a 323 Area code, so please explain what makes the prepaid Zip code so different?

You got a prepaid line in South Carolina, you should have been given a S.C. Area code.  You got what they had to offer.  If you change it in California, you may get a number local to you.

I think its actually pointless to respond since the initial question was never answered by you. You picked one section and choose to address it which was to give background on how the or why the question was even needed to be asked. Simply the reason why i received the number; They have already explained which was because the store i brought it from put the zip code on the account as theirs not mine. Okay SOLVED right? no its not If you do not intend to actually answer ma'am please allow someone else to do so. -
