How do I enable Wifi Calling?

I have a Samsung S9+, model SM-G965U1. I don't see anywhere an option to enable wifi calling. The phone is an unlocked device. I previous had Verizon prepaid and it worked, not I'm on AT&T prepaid I don't see how to enable it.

Also, I have a voicemail notification in the notification bar that will not disappear, even after checking voicemail (there wasn't one). All I can do is snooze the notification. ???

Greetings @what_the_f!

Allow us to assist. We like to advise that you make sure that you have the appropriate AT&T PREPAID plan as Wi-Fi calling is currently available for all AT&T PREPAID plans (monthly and daily) except for pay-per-minute plans.

Let us know if this helps.

Hello, @what_the_f,

Thank you for the confirmation. As your S9+ isn't an AT&T branded device, it can not be enabled for WiFi Calling.

Have a great week.

Hello @what_the_,

Thanks for posting. We can help you with Wi-Fi Calling.

Are you using a U.S. factory unlocked version (SM-G965U1) of the Samsung S9+?  Are on a monthly, or pay as you go plan?

Thanks for letting us know @what_the_f.

Wi-Fi Calling is not supported on all factory unlocked devices. It appears your device may not be.

When was your last software update? If your software is not up to date you may experience notification issues like you're reporting.

What Visual Voicemail app are you using? Samsung, or AT&T? Visual Voicemail is available using a single app at a time. Attempting to use both may cause a service conflict.

Ding, ding, ding.  We have a winner!  James is correct.
@what_the_   Unless it boots with the At&t boot screen it’s not going to get WiFi calling.

I just switched to AT&T. Told the sales person I had bad cell signal at my house and mostly use wifi calling but was hoping to get better cell signal for when out of range.  I get home and I don't see the set up available and find this thread and learn I have gone from a bad situation to worse since I don't have an AT&T branded phone. This is horrible that they do not tell you this.  Why does every phone company (Edited per community guidelines)?
