How can I resume sending a "reply" to the text messages I receive from family and friends

Although I'm able to make calls on my mobile phone, lately whenever I attempt to send a text to these exact phone number, I immediately receive a return message with the phone number I attempted to text returned, displayed and underlined; then states un-underlined "Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code." And although this number changes on each occurrence it leaves a number i.e., "005400480041004E004B00200059004F00550020004D0073002E0".

ALSO, lately I've been getting notices texted to me stating names (some I don't know) saying they are "a new Facebook friend suggestion".

Hi @hkmcgowan,

Thanks for reaching out! Allow us to assist.

Please let us know what type of device you currently have. One fix users have reported is completely deleting the contact, and then recreating it immediately afterwards. Do you have advanced messaging turned on? If you do, try turning it off and then sending a message. We want to try a few methods that worked for others.

We look forward to your response!
