ZTE ZMax 2 not getting Marshmallow update???

I am so frustrated

The past two days I've factory reset my device around 20 times, have constantly been clearing the cache, and have even tried checking for updates with every preinstalled app enabled and updated to its most recent version, with the phone at 100% and connected to a charger


I know the updates go out in batches by IMEI but the marshmallow update came out AGES ago. What can I do at this point??? 

Please help!!!!!

Thank you for reaching out on the Community Forums.  I can understand how important it is to update your device, not only for the features, but for security as well.  I would be happy to help.


To receive the Over the Air updates the phone must meet the following requirements.


  • Branded AT&T device
  • Able to connect to AT&T towers
  • Wi-Fi
  • Sufficient memory and battery
  • IMEI updated in our system


If it meets the above requirements and you are still unable to update, please use our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool.  Make sure your device is selected, and then for the issue choose Software Update.  Please run through all the steps entirely.
