Zte lever z936l software update

Software version:5.1 Lollipop. When I try updating in my settings it always comes back with the same message 'unable to connect to server' every time. I've tried numerous ways to force an update via clearing data in play framework to clearing all the data and cache through my hole phone via internal factory settings. Please help me figure out how to upgrade my phone.
