My smart TV seems to be at the max wireless distance from my router. Is there a booster device available to make the signal stronger?

Good Morning! Having bad signal to your smart TV can lead to having lag when streaming and using other services, so I understand how concerning this is. I will be more than happy to share some details.
The best option is to hard wire the connection, or use the Ethernet cable. If this is not an option, you should be able to change the wireless signal’s frequency. Most Wi-Fi is used on a 5GHz connection to provide the strongest data connection. Usually you can change it to 2.5GHz which will provide a slower data connection, but boost the Wi-Fi range considerably.
You should be able to log into your settings and change this. I’m not sure what internet or modem/router you are using. If you need instructions on how to do this, please reply with your provider and equipment.

Thanks for your reply. I bought a NetGear AC750 wi-fi range extender which seems to help slightly. My internet service is through AT&T and their router is a Pace Model 5268ACFXN. It would be impractical for me to use an Ethernet cable. Do you know if AT&T provides a more powerful router? I might try changing this router to 2.5GHz if you provide instructions. I think I could change the extender & accomplish the same thing. Right now I have the extender set up to use both wi-fi bands.

I live in a rural area, and use wireless data for smartphones and hotspot. It is the only internet available. I would prefer to remain with at&t, but you do not offer a free cell phone signal booster. For your microcell, as you know, you must have landline internet. Your competitors have boosters to set in a window, pick up weak signal, and broadcast it through the house. I hate to leave at&T, but I'm sick of losing signal in the house!
How can we improve?
