Why can’t i decline protection plan when upgrading

ATT won’t let me bypass the protection option if i choose to decline it.  It pops up a warning about how i only have 30 days to enroll… but won’t let me choose the decline option.  Only when i choose one of the protection package does it let me go through.  That is so wrong

I have no idea what you're talking about.   I have no problem declining insurance online when selecting phone and plan.

I put a phone and a plan in the cart and clicked on "continue without device protection...."

Then I went back and added a case to the cart.  This time I clicked on see protection options. Clicked on "I don't want device protection

Again was able to click on " continue without device protection."  which is now a black bar.
