Upgrade and phone trade-in

I upgraded my Samsung S7 edge to a Pixel 5 and selected the trade in option.  The pixel arrived and after a couple of days I went to ship out the old phone. But I did not have the shipping material to send in the trade-in phone.  The Pixel did arrive with a piece of packing tape which made me think I lost the return materials.  I called ATT support and for some reason the person helping me could not understand that I traded in my old phone as part of the upgrade and couldnt just resend the call tag info.  Instead he created a whole new trade-in which I then used to send in my phone.  3 days later the original trade-in package arrived.  Did I just get screwed?  How do I know if they trade-in was received? How do I know it is being put towards the upgrade to the Pixel 5?

You may also contact trade-in by email to confirm the status of your trade-in.

 

Once our trade-in center receives your device, it will take 1 to 3 billing cycles for the promotional credits to start generating for your Pixel 5.
