Unlock iPhone to sell on ebay
I want to sell my old iPhone on ebay. I've completed the unlock request, and it has been approved. The instructions now say to complete the unlock below:
Using a Non-AT&T SIM Card:
1. Remove your SIM card and insert the new SIM card.
2. Complete the setup process.
Using an AT&T SIM Card:
2. When you have a backup, erase your iPhone.
3. Restore your iPhone from the backup you just made.
My question is, if I sell on ebay, do I need to complete the unlock with a different SIM card before sending to new owner, or will they complete it once they've inserted a SIM card?

You should complete the unlock yourself with an ATT SIM card before selling just so that you can be sure it is actually unlocked. Rather than doing a backup/restore, just set the phone back to factory settings. You need to erase it before you sell it anyway. After it is erased, it will go through activation again which will complete the unlock.

Use the SIM card already in the phone. It will work for Apple activation even if it’s been deactivated and no longer works for cellular service.

I’ve owned this phone for years I get denied because they claim my imei is wrong and the customer service here can F off help here or they won’t like em t their **** store
