Trade in not even displaying in transit

Dropped off a phone trade-in at the UPS store on 10/26/22. Followed all the instructions. When I check its status, in transit is not in effect.  Please advise.

I have a very similar problem with AT&T. I ordered a new iPhone 14 Pro Max on 10/07 and all I have received so far is the shipment return box for my trade in. The order status for my new device has been consistently been pushed back 2-3 times already. Calling customer service doesn’t help either. The only thing that they can tell me is when it’s due to be shipped out. I expect that, were I to cancel the order, I would get an email saying that it’s being shipped out tomorrow! If I do that then it’s going to just cancel the order as well.

Your trade-in should have been checked in over the counter at your local post office, which is USPS.

If you took your phone to the UPS Store, that was the wrong place to take it.

@jbmazer

You do not have the same problem and it's poor etiquette to hop on somebody else's thread and hijack it. Please create your own brand new thread or call the order Department

Hello @jbmazer and @Gaspasr, we're happy to provide information in regard to your devices.

Thank you, @formerlyknownas for the helpful information. That is correct, you will follow the steps included on our Trade in help page.

  • After you receive your new device, we’ll ship a USPS prepaid mailing kit for your trade-in (kit arrives about 10 business days after your new device).
  • Use the kit to mail us your trade-in device. We’ll update you on your trade-in status via email and text.

In regard to orders, if you are waiting for a iPhone14 Pro Max order make sure that you have confirmed the Terms and Conditions when placing your order, to prevent the order from being cancelled. In addition, keep in mind the following:

  • You’ll get a confirmation email when your order ships.
  • Pre-ordered devices ship on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Back-ordered devices ship when they're available.

You can stay updated on the Order status online, or by:

  1. Going to My orders.
  2. Enter your Order number and ZIP Code.

Don’t know your order number? Check the confirmation email we sent you. Meet us back here if you have any questions. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

We understand your frustration with your trade in, possibly being stuck in transit, @Gaspasr. Special thanks to our ACE, @formerlyknownas for their expertise.

Please make sure that you do keep your UPS receipt handy. We recommend that you use this resource to check the status of your trade in. Just simply type in your email address and confirmation number.

Keep in mind, that it can sometimes take up to a month for the trade in device to process.

We also recommend that you take a look at our trade in support page

Please let us know if you need further assistance. Thanks for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums!

Same issue, and I have a feeling these expert helpful advisers are lying to you, and every other post like this I see. Apparently the label that comes in the box with the new phone and a inventory slip that says trade in shipping insert device return kit. If you used that label you are screwed, it ships it to a 3rd party and there is no tracking available I took a picture of my label and it just says received and processed with a date no tracking info they are scamming us with no remorse or recourse.
