I received the email with instructions on printing a label - I get to the "location identifier" what is that please?  Or how do I find out what that is? I can’t print the return label without it.

Hello MG12360! Here's what Location Identifier means on that label you received in your email.

The information that @formerlyknownas shared is correct. Location ID is used for when you need to return or exchange a new device. You can request a new shipping label and kit at the AT&T Trade-in Program.

Also, while you can request a label sent to you, it's possible to drop off your eligible trade-in phone at your nearest AT&T Corporate Store.

Use our Store Locator to get started. Simply choose FILTER on the right, then select Company Owned Store to find the AT&T Corporate Store closest to you.

Make sure to get a receipt and store it safely somewhere, in case you need it for future reference.

We hope this information helps. Let us know if you need any other support.

Thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums.

If you are trying to use the trade-in deal, you should not be asked for this information. You may be looking at the wrong label. Is the label addressed to Texas or Tennessee?

Trade-in phones go to Tennessee.

If what you are looking at is an RMA or BR (buyers remorse) label back to at&t, that is to return your new phone because you don't want it. (not your old phone)

If you are participating in the trade-in deal, you need a trade in packet to send your phone to Tennessee

You can request a new shipping label here with your shipping kit. Just enter your email address you used during check out and your confirmation number.

You can also call the Trade-In support team at 1-888-445-6005 M-F 7am-7pm CST or
S-S 9am-5pm CST.
