We'd like to help get your device unlocked, !

First, you'll want to check out our list of personal requirements and confirm that your device meets all necessary requirements. Then you'll want to access the Device Unlock Portal to submit your request. If your request was denied, please share the reason provided.

Also, share the details to the following questions:

  • How did you purchase your device? This information is necessary for processing a escalation.
  • Are you the account owner or an authorized user on the account that the device is or was associated with? You'll need to be either in order for us to verify the account for authentication purposes.

We look forward to your response!

The only way a phone becomes permanently locked is if an invalid unlock code has been entered too many times. ATT has nothing to do with that, that is the phone software.

Why is it permanently locked?.

Did you receive an unlock code from AT&T and entered too many times?

If that's the case you are on your own to find an paid unlock service that can provide you with the mck code.  The MCK is a master unlock code.  AT&T does not have it, and the manufacturer cannot provide it.

Not all phones can be unlocked. If this is not a incident where you have entered an incorrect unlock code too many times, the make and model of phone maybe an unsupported phone for which  AT&T no longer has a code.  (2g phones, old Sony, Panasonic, HTC, old iPhones, razor too, and red hydrogen one, Amazon Fire Phone oh, just to name a few that cannot be ever unlocked by AT&T)

Ok so that's what happened, so is there a way to unlock it so it will work on a different carrier?? Or is it forever locked down to AT&T cause thats the only sim it accepts and works just fine..

Thanks

Unfortunately we cannot help you with that it is forbidden to discuss it any further on the Forum. Any information on such a provider would be deleted and hands slapped

By the way a permanently locked AT&T phone will still work on Cricket, and any mvno that uses an AT&T SIM card.
