You mean BJ's wholesale. It's BJ's Smart Circle that lied or messed up your info, not at&t.
AT&T's prices policies and promotions are published for anyone to read online. If BJ's made stuff up, of course AT&T is not going to honor it, they don't have to.
Smart Circle is an authorized retailer that works out of big box stores like BJ's, sam's, and Costco. We frequently see posts from people who purchased through Smart Circle and we're given information that cannot possibly be true, or fouled up their order or trade in with bad info.
If you want AT&T level competence, deal directly with AT&T and an AT&T corporate store. Or at least double check what you are being told by a third party by going to att.com and looking up the prices, promotions and policies.
