Smart Circle Retailers scam

Smart Circle Retailers are scammers, however, AT&T is just as bad. If you read these comments, almost everyone has had the same exact problem, yet AT&T continues to use them to sell phones.  It shows that there is a serious lack of integrity at AT&T, considering these almost identical post/comments have been going on for years.  I'm so happy to be done with AT&T.  Biggest scam I have ever been a victim to! I really hope this comes to a (Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines), AT&T seems to be a criminal enterprise to me at this point!

Same thing happened to me. I didn't even sign a contract, they literally put an big x in the place I was supposed to sign. I was promised a $1000 credit that would be in 4 installments of $250. Meanwhile i was billed over $1000 by AT&T within the first 3 months.  $360 of that before I even recieved my 2 phones. When I called AT&T about it and the credit I was promised, they told me I needed to go back to Target and take it up with the dealer. AT&T was not responsible for the credit nor would they send my old phone back.I asked to cancel my service and I was told to pay the full amount of the phone and an early termination fee!🤬🤬🤬 With that being the only solution, I just continued to let AT&T take advantage of the misrepresentation/lies I was suckered into. It was 2020, now it's 2023, I 'm literally making my last payment today.  I will NEVER DO OR ENCOURAGE ANYONE TO DO BUSINESS WITH AT&T!!!! AT&T is just as bad as the shady company that I allowed to bamboozle me!!!!!! Pathetic!

I went through the same thing.  I already commented but these azzholes made me create a login and deleted what I already commented but I am determined to help anyone looking for phone service, to make them rethink dealing with these horrific companies.  I was also lied to and told I would receive a $1000 credit per phone because both of my old phones qualified for the discount.  I was told the $2000 would be applied to my account at the end of the contract, meaning once I paid off the $1600 of installment/NextUp payments, the credits would be applied and I would own the phones. Somehow, I was charged over $1000 over the first 3 months. At&T charged over $400 before I even received the phones. I immediately called to speak with management and was told that any issues I had about the phones or the bills had to be taken up with the saleswoman at the Target I signed up at. The manager advised me that they did not honor the discount and I could only get my phones I traded in through the company from Target.  I asked to cancel the plans and replace my old phones and was told, "if you cancel your plan, you are responsible for the remaining balance of both phones and you have to pay an early termination fee for both lines. " 🤬🤬🤬 "AT&T can not take the phones back, refund any money, nor replace your old phones sir!" 2 1/2 years later, I am making my last payment to these CROOKS!!! AT&T IS JUST AS FRAUDULENT AS THE RETAILER THEY PARTNER WITH!!!  Considering the same crap is going on even now. I will NEVER DO ANY MORE BUSINESS WITH AT&T NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!! THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES ARE PATHETIC. I really hope there is a (Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines) behind this. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company for cellular service!
