Samsung Phone is a Piece of Junk or is it At&t

I've fought my new Samsung phone: S9+ for almost 6 months now with 4 replacements and Samsung blames the problems on At&t.... whatever it is it doesn't help me as need to the phone to stay in touch with my wife who almost died from and aneurysm and 22 hours of brain surgery. After hours and perhaps days of trying to get the phone to work they are changing me from a Samsung to an Iphone. And guess what, they send it too me knowing the situation with a 6 to 10 day window and who knows when I'm going to get the phone. Terrible service, so once I don't have to worry about my wife, I think I'm done with At&t and Direct TV and will move my business elsewhere though it may not be better as today it's not about quality and caring as it's just about money. Technology is great when it works but more times than not lately we're all seeing that they've got it so complicated that it doesn't work or it's too complex for the average person. Obviously a bit frustrated with my wife beingdown and would like some compassionate service but not sure that exists anymore.

Hello @pahogg

We're sorry to hear that you are having trouble connecting to the cellular network. Allow us to assist you!

To get started, Have you received your replacement phone?  Were you experiencing low signals in your area, such as at home or at work etc? Was your device updated with the latest software?

Tell us more details so we can find the source of the concern.

I'll tell you what as you want to know. I'm on my 4th S9+ phone without Samsung nor At&t helping me solve the problem. That being the inability to go from my homes wifi out of the house and then connecting to 4g or in my home though showing connected to wifi to having to reboot as though I get bars I have reboot to get mobile data. So now if you as if I've tried this or that... As was said I spent hours on the phone with both Samsung and At&t, changed sim cards reset networks, reset phones to default setting and still not solved. With a very sick wife the cell phone is my life line to her and thus for the first time using a cell phone I'm junking this at great cost to me as I had a service plan costing me $200 which did nothing for me as well as cords, cases and protective shields. Now that I've posted this that the phone to me is a piece of junk you're interested in helping. Really! I've chosen to do something I never thought I'd do and that's go to a Iphone as the most important thing to me is not my business contacts but my ability to stay close to my wife if she needs me following her 22 hours of brain surgery.... Thanks for nothing Samsung....

AT&T doesn't manufacture the hardware....any hardware. Apple, Samsung, LG do. They're the entities responsible for all warranty support and service on any device. It's like any other electronics device. If my Geforce RTX 2080 fails then Microcenter won't replace it. They're just the retailer, not the manufacturer. I have to go through EVGA for that. That's the standard in all electronics segments.
