Sales agent lied to me about product availability to get me to buy product

The ATT agent lied to me about availability of an iphone to get me to purchase the phone, a second phone and change my account type. I repeated the question at least 6 times during our call. He was very clear in his answer even when I questioned it.  This was a blatant deceptive sales strategy to get me to agree to the purchase and all new terms and conditions. Tried talking to ATT this afternoon, but after nearly 3 hrs of being passed around to 6 different people, I was told the dept was now closed for the night. No accountability, no training, probably worst example of customer service I can find.  Still no resolution in sight.  Trying to elevate but keep getting run around. Anyone have suggestions? #worstcustomerserviceATT

While AT&T employees do look at forum posts from time to time, we are here to represent the forum with our experiences as customers and do not represent AT&T in any official capacity with our responses and do so on our own time unpaid and off the clock. As employees we are not rewarded nor compensated to participate in these forums This forum is comprised of regular customers to communicate with other customers to offer advice and share experiences same as any other user Although there is a small team of customer care specialists that monitor the forums the sheer volume of posts are simply too many posts for these agents to respond to each one of them.
