Releasing a company owned phone number from Verizon and switching it Onto an existing att phone

I left my company. They are the Verizon account owner of my phone. I now want to transfer that phone number onto a new att phone I just activated  my company rep told me they approved releasing the number but Verizon did not provide any code numbers etc...I have my company’s tax ID number. Is that enough info in order to port the number. If so how long will it take. Will my new att phone still work with its number until the moment the transfer is completed?

Hi, @4duffy,

We've got this for you! Here's information on transferring a number to AT&T. You'll need this information:

  • The number you want to transfer.
  • The account owner's name and address. In this case, the business name and address.
  • The tax ID number.
  • PIN or password, if applicable.

If you start the transfer in an AT&T Store, it should take one to three business hours. If you begin the process online or over the phone, it could take between three to five business days. Let us know if we can help with anything else.

Have a great week!
