Pre Ordered iPhone 7 Plus at retail store / w/trade in - no mention of trade in on receipt?

I went to my local ATT store today to take advantage of the free iPhone 7 offer with trade in for existing Att customers.  I meet all of the qualifications as was confirmed by the Att rep.

He said I could return my trade-in after I receive my new iPhone 7 Plus, which is scheduled for October 21 delivery.

And, just before the transaction was complete, I asked the in-store rep if I could just bring my trade-in to the retail Att store, he said yes, and also metioned again I could send it in when I receive my new phone.

My concern is that the two receipts I was given don't metion the trade-in at all.  The rep gave me one receipt & said "this one is for the trade-in" but neither receipt mentioned trade-in or the $650 credit.  Also the email I got confirming my order has no mention of the trade-in or credit.

Needless to say, I am a bit worried that the transaction may not have been processed correctly for the $650 trade-in credit.

Should my receipt say anything about the $650 trade-in credit?  And will the trade-in offer still be valid if I receive my new iPhone 7 after the offer is expired?

I don't wan't to get shafted for the $650 credit.

Just a bit of concern.  Thanks in advance - Dave.  Did I mention the $650 credit? (j/k)

Offer is only valid for 32GB size and you ordered the 128GB. They probably overlooked it. Just like how someone in-store told me last Friday that preorders start on 9/16 and iPhone comes out on 9/21 even though I said that was wrong they insisted they were right.

Good morning @ceengular1!

@gumbeez is correct; the offer is only valid on an iPhone 7 32GB model.

We're going to contact you to get more information to see what we can do to get this resolved.

Thank you!

Please read the offer fine print attached:

"May apply max credit towards other eligible iPhones priced up to $970, which will be discounted but not free. "

Hello @ceengular1,

I can certainly resolve this matter for you!

The good news is you’re correct the promotional credits can be applied to the 128GB iPhone 7 Plus you ordered. Within the rules of the promotion, you will be responsible for the remaining balance of the device not covered by the $650 promo.

Also as long as the iPhone 7 is purchased within the promotional date, you will be eligible to trade in your device even if you receive the device after the promotional period ends. The trade-in of your old device is processed once you receive your new device. That is why the credits were not applied on the receipt. You can find additional information about this promotion directly from our website.

Enjoy your new phone!

I was told that I couldn't use this promotion to "upgrade" my iPhone 6 to an iPhone 7 as I am an existing customer and this is an existing line (part of a family plan).  The salesperson at the door didn't seem sure of the rules, at least it appeared that way.  What is the scoop?

@Jonny1

Read the promotional fine print above.  This is not a straight upgrade.  Your iPhone 6 must be out of contract or Next paid off in full.

The offer does not require a new line of service.

@ATTCares I have a similar situation where the trade-in on my receipt says $0, the difference being I purchased my iPhone 7 directly from an AT&T store. If the trade-in is $0 until the new phone is received, why when I already have my new phone does the receipt for the trade-in still say $0? Is that not something they can handle in-store? I'm a little concerned I'm going to find out in 3 months that I don't have $650 in credits coming. If it's a situation of waiting for it to be processed, is there a way to check trade-in status? It's a little nerve wrecking to have your excellent condition iPhone 6 shipped away with no guarantee you'll get what you're told.

Chances are you won't have $650 in credits unless you had a certain model. AT&T changed the ad from the original to state eligible phone and up to $650. My phone was values at $160. good luck getting $650.

Hi, what if I purchased the i7 32gb black at Apple store using att's NEXT EVERY YEAR upgrade 24months then do the trade in with att?

also if my line for an off contract iphone is now $20/line plus the $110 25gb data then will the i7 deal keep my service at the same $20/line for off contract or will it be $40/line with contract?

thanks
