Boy do I have some amazing news!! I’m so excited to announce that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has FINALLY been included for the Marshmallow software update today, September 8, 2016!

To update the software

  1. Make sure your device is sufficiently charged and connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. From the device home screen, pull down the notification shade and tap Settings.
  3. Under the System category, tap About device > Software update > Check for updates.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
  5. The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs

Take care! Have an awesome week!

Hi @Barbpark9!

I definitely apologize for the wait and I wish I had a better response to when the update is going to be released. I can totally understand the frustration, I want the update as well for my Note 4 and feel like I’m being left out Smiley Frustrated

At the moment, the only thing that has been released is:

  • Note 4: AT&T released a software update containing device security improvements on August 18, 2016. The update is available for customers download via Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) over Wi-Fi.

If you haven’t yet done this update, you can do it over Wi-Fi and by going into Settings > General > About Phone > Software Updates.

For more discussion about Marshmallow, please visit our Marshmallow Updates & Discussion thread where you can chat with other AT&T customers who are also awaiting the Marshmallow release.

Take care and have a great weekend!
