Nighthawk on grandfathered data plan?
I just bought a Nighthawk and tried to use it to replace my Mobley. No network access. Put SIMM back in Mobley and got access again. Went to AT&T store and they won't let me get Nighthawk with my old plan. Am I stuck, or will getting a used AT&T Nighthawk from eBay circumvent this issue?
(I'm thinking that if a used one was on the AT&T registry, the Nighthawk wouldn't raise a red flag)

Not possible.
The only hotspot allowed on that plan would be another car connect device.
