New phone

I just bought this phone and got the number with it. Why is it not allowing people to call me it goes to some other person’s voicemail and I can’t text from my iPhone only email shows up?

Hi @Marissa220,

Thank you for reaching out. We'd love to take a closer look into this for you.

To better assist, we'd like to know:

  • how did you get the phone, online or at the store
  • what type of service is affected; calls, text or data
  • is the device AT&T branded or unlocked from another carrier
  • is this a prepaid or postpaid account

Let us know so we can assist further.
