need return label to ship back old Next Every Year iPhone 7

Bought new jet black iPhone 7 plus last year online via APPLE STORE APP on night of release (which is like 3am as i have done each year for a while) but this time instead of out rite purchase I choose Next Every Year.

 

The ATT app and bills say i am due for new iPhone and want the new one coming out mid Sept. I have original box shipped to me in and packing list but no return label for current iPhone but I was emailed my ATT Next Every Year  contract from Apple.

 

I plan on doing exact same this year for new iPhone that rumor has for is $1099.00 for 256gbs.

 

But NO ONE seems to know how to return my old phone which is pristine. Not ATT Corporate Store not Apple no one knows how to get me label to put on box to return current iPhone upon receiving new iPhone 8/X ?

 

Any helpful info appreciated. I have been getting new iPhone yearly since 2007 original iPhone and have been ATT Wireless since 1994. Thats a long time. 🙂

A shipping label and box should be sent when you order your new phone.  Isn't that what was done in previous years?

please save tracking and get a counter receipt at the P.O. When you drop off the phone.

I never did the Next before this last purchase i had always bought in cash and sold myself.

 

Now are you saying my upgrade for this Next Every Year will now come with all that?

*I wonder why it wasn't included when I received current phone. *I always save all boxes etc and never ship without tracking 🙂

 

As I purchase thru the Apple Store App on current phone its easiest, fastest and recommended.

If you purchase through Apple, I will suggest you consider Apple's own Apple upgrade program.  

Couple reasons...

1.  It includes Apple care plus, which protects you for a second year warranty and broken screen replacement for only $29.  Cheaper than Asurion, which I don't think prudent.  

2.  Puts you at the head of the line with Apple next year.  

3.  So this means don't trade in with ATT, sell your phone, which is going to be worth more than the 50% you paid in on it.  

 

If you do trade in with ATT, all they do is wipe the remaining 12 payment.  They send you a box for mailing in your old phone (which is barely protection for it) and a label for sending in your Next return.  

WARNINGS:   There is often a label for returning the new phone if you change your mind, don't mix them up.  You MUST! MUST! get a counter receipt in case the phone is lost in the system.  It's a nightmare and you will be charged for a phone if you can't prove it was sent to ATT.

oh my thanks but... did you read my post?

 

I am quite phone savvy... I just hadn't dealt with a turn in on ATT Next Every Year but have two daughters on Apple Program so am up to speed on it.

Never needed AppleCare and its not cost effective for 1 year for me. 

 

Appreciate your help but ONLY interested on how to get return address label for ATT turn in as I am pretty sure when I redo this mid September it will be same as first time and not come with anything. Regarding the box its same they ship the iPhone box in and has a small plastic sleeve to slide phone in so it doesn't bounce around loose in box and is used by Gazelle. You see I know what Im looking for and what I need just can't find the right way of getting it and to my dismay not one fool at ATT Corporate store, Online or via Phone App knows cause i have been told so much nonsense its crazy. Now I see why wife went to Verizon with my kids.

I should have paid for the waste of money (to me) AppleCare and went with Apple as the $7 I save a month isn't worth this aggravation. Same as selling my phone now that leases are out the value has dropped and I don't want to be bothered with that.

 

I wouldn't bother with ATT to upgrade cause I also know chances of getting the new phone (not the 7s equivelant) will be next to impossible via their app or web page.

But I am quite sure Apple is going to give buyers best shot at 3am release to get one or wait till possible next release already mentioned as being around end of November. No matter the $1000 price tag it will sellout within 5-8 minutes.

I'm having the same issue, but a slightly different situation. Preordered my Galaxy Note8 through BestBuy.com. Their receipt says I was supposed to receive an email from the carrier with the shipping label. Never got it. AT&T store won't take it. Best buy says it is the carrier's responsibility. AT&T customer service can't figure it out. I'm going on 4 hours of phone time between AT&T and Best Buy, and all I want to do is return the old phone.

Its insane the way this program being out since 2013 and ATT doesn't have a clue on how to implement it properly.

 

And if you read this thread you see no real answers just same suggestions anyone one would/should have already done BEFORE posting here.

Corporate stores can reprint the shipping label using smartlabel.

But... No they don’t won’t.

Went to 3 in my area after googling and reading the same thing.

 

Didn’t even matter anyways as I order my phones from Apple online and they send a link with return label to print and clear concise instructions on returning.

15 days after returning I recieved text saying it was returned accepted and my contract is complete. I also was able to track not the entire way via Newgistics tracker. And I love my new silver/white X 

A nice experience other than the absolute complete lack of knowledge and wrong info given out on this program by ATT employees. And on a program the push like heck. That’s nuts. And should be embarrassing as heck.
