Mobile Share Groups?

I am currently on a mobile share plan with 2 smartphones and one non-smartphone. I want to upgrade my daughter's non-smartphone to a smartphone. I get all the way through selecting the phone and accessories, but when it asks me to choose a plan it gets stuck.

 

I have the option to add to existing mobileshare group or create new group. I click on add to existing group, enter my phone number (the primary) and it tells me that I need to upgrade my plan. So I tried to create a new group and nothing comes up. 

 

If I already have a mobileshare plan (10Gb) then what do I need to upgrade to? I understand that the base cost will change as it will now be 3 smartphones, but I can't change it from 2 smart/1 non without having the 3rd smart.  I have no idea what I'm missing here, but it's getting really frustrating.

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'll probably hit the chat help sometime tomorrow night, but they are closed right now and I won't have time to try and access it before I go to work in the morning.

Start from your account, on her line. Select upgrade device. , then pick the phone.
It will automatically figure it out from there and bill the account.

I thought that might have been the problem the first time, so I logged off the site, logged back in and did just that. When it gets to the part where I am supposed to select a group, it asks for a group name or a phone number. I dont have a group name, so I put in the primary phone number...then nothing. I put in her phone number...nothing.

 

I'm at a loss.

That's weird. I don't get that.
I login to my bill account, click on a line and upgrade options, upgrade, then shop for a phone, add to account..payment options...
That's as far as I can go as I don't wat to upgrade

I guess you do need chat... Good luck.

I logged in to chat last night. She mirrored my account and got the same
error, so a ticket is being opened.
However, my original theory about it being because my daughter's phone is
being changed to a smart phone is beginning to seem more plausible. I
decided to try the upgrade on my smartphone line and guess what...I can get
through the entire process. When the final resolution comes through I'll
update it here.
