KDZ / TOT for LG G5 H820

Hello,

I live outside US so I can't get the OTA.  When I buy this phone, I need to get the full features that it must have.  So I request you to provide me and the other users like me the latest updated OTA together with KDZ files for my phone - H820.

Thanks a lot!

Hello @st0wzz!

I do understand wanting to have the latest updated on your phone.  I will be more than happy to help!

Any unlocked device not connected to the AT&T network or towers is unable to receive software updates over the air.  I do sincerely apologize about this.  However, if you have an AT&T SIM card, you can insert it into the phone to see if you are able to receive the update.

Should you still not be able to get updates even with an AT&T SIM, what I would recommend doing is contacting LG to see if they have any files to download.

I hope this helps! Have a fantastic day!

I contacted LG, and they said I came back to AT&T. Awesome!

Why LG and AT & T are so hard on customers? Why Verizon (VS987), T-mobile (H830) can provide KDZ files?

It means there not going to release the files online for you to download. The phone sold so bad there are no leaks of the updates like there are with the Samsung s7 series. That and lgs convoluted build numbers.

I have AT&T LG G5 Unlocked, currently connected to AT&T network and I'm still not able to receive nougat update.  It says your phone is up to date check again in 19 hours.  Ridiculous.

Hello @asckn69,

Unfortunately, you will not be able to update the device while you are outside of the USA.

We also do not have any information on updating methods involving files. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!

Why do not you allow upgrades to devices located outside the US?

There is a saying, “fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me”.

In other words, if you were unhappy with the first phone from ATT, why do it twice?
