I just washed my iPhone in the wash--need a new one.
I'm on my dads family plan and I believe I was due for an upgrade. (The phone was the original iphone--I was perhaps the last person on earth still using this phone.)
This seems like the place where support questions go to die. Where they flounder and starve on the dead sea under the blistering Meditarean sun.

You need authorization on your dads account or have dad get a phone for you.
You must upgrade to a new phone with ATT online and chose, no plan change, or at an ATT corporate store.
Retailers cannot process 2 year contract upgrades.
