How to update unlocked LG-H820 if on different network?

I have LG-H820 and want to upgrade to newest software (H82030a).  I currently have H82020t.  I am NOT on AT&T.  I AM currently a MetroPCS/Metro by T-Mobile customer.  Phone is unlocked.

you need to be on the at&t network to receive OTA updates there is no way around it,

Hello, @JCFranklin81,

Thank you for reaching out. Here are things to know about updating the software on your device through AT&T.

The preceding link includes the requirements to receive the update. The device must be on the AT&T network to receive the update. If you're unable to get the update through your current carrier, reach out to LG to see if they can help as the updates are provided by the device manufacturer.

Have a great week.
