Different iPhone trade in device - urgent help required!!

Change trade in device after iphone 15 pro max order

I placed an order for an  iPhone 15 pro max on the ATT mobile app (am an existing customer) and specified my current 13 pro max as the trade in device. it’s bought in 2021 on Apple.com as an unlocked device. I later came into att and registered this device.  So I don’t have any outstanding payments to att except the monthly phone bill. Now, I realized I could trade in my old s20 FE 5g instead of the my current 13 pro max. Am I locked into returning my 13 pro max? Can I keep that and hand in the s20 fe 5g instead? (I used in store trade in of device instead of mailing it)

And if so, can I do the same at an ATT store i.e. take in the s20 fe 5g as my trade in device? Is there anything/any steps to do before that or I can just walk in with s20 fe 5g?

Thanks

As long as you selected in-store trade, you'll be fine.

The store is the one who fills in the make model and other specifications for the trade-in phone. The online estimator was just that, an estimation tool.

Hi @saiparthiv, let's guide you in the right direction on your trade in inquiry.

Once you place your order online after 7 days you will get the trade in kit to send the old device. Once AT&T receives the return trade in kit you will get the credits in 2-3 billing cycles.

Thank you,

In my experience, they do the assessment and valuation on the device you actually send them.  I’d doesn’t matter what device you initially said you were going to send them when you placed an order.

@ATTHelp I choose in-store trade-in, not mail in
