Device trade in
I’m curious as to why I’m not getting at least $200 credit for my iPhone I traded in. I’ve fought with them for over a year to get the full $800 credit for my phone and I was scammed saying “the find my iPhone wasn’t turned off”. So once I finish paying for this phone, a lawyer will be involved in a (Edited per community guidelines). I’m sick of this. All you guys do is scam people in the trade in process. It also took me 8 years to get a discount for working at my local hospital. All because my last name wasn’t on the front of my nursing badge. I also went into the att store multiple times and had the associate scan it in. Still nothing. I was the only employee with my company that I had ever heard had issues. Over this phone company.

Your trade-in phone was received by a third party, formerly called Hyla, now owned by Assurant.
If the mobile recycler received your phone and said it was not in the condition required for trade-in, then AT&T doesn't give you trade in credits.
You are limited to arbitration and small claims.
In 36 months you will not be able to prove your stance that the phone had find my iPhone deactivated and was factory reset. Unless you can prove it now, you are wasting your time.

I had a similar issue as yours, documented extensively in the below post.
The ONLY Way to Solve your Trade-In Issues | AT&T Community Forums (att.com)
I was able to get Apple Legal to provide proof that Find My iPhone had been disabled and the phone factory reset - but it took hours on the phone. However, as you will read in the post, the Office of the President (OOP) didn't even ask for the proof I had - they just applied the credits after I filed the FCC complaint.
I would only go through the hassle of contacting Apple if the OOP doesn't simply apply the credits when you file your complaint.
Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of shady business practices that AT&T and their partners participate in on a daily basis.

I realize I forgot to state in the post, but I did have the find my iPhone feature turned off when sent in. I took a video from my new phone of myself turning it off and placing in the mail package. They have went back and forth multiple times with correcting the price, and then will change it back months later.
