Update:  

We finally received credits thanks to this forum.

Steps to help:

1.  Call AT&T and get your case number and date

2. Don’t waste anymore time trying to resolve with customer loyalty- that won’t happen.

3. If you have an open unresolved case- file a complaint with the FDC. At this link: On the other hand, filing an FCC complaint can have repercussions for AT&T. (here is the link to do so: https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us

4. I filled complaint( not story).

I filed a billing complaint.  Took about 10 minutes to file.  You will need your AT&T account number.

5. I wrote brief description and didn’t attach any documents.

6. Received email from FDC that AT&T had 30 days to response. Received phone call from representative in 2 days and received on spot credit for entire amount due to me.

7. Save your sanity and file complaint if you have an unresolved case.

I returned a device, im getting charge the 650 non returned fee but when we talked to a rep, she advised me that the device was sent to the wrong warehouse, my acct is suspended for nonpayment. When is this charge going to be taken off so I can proceed with the payment.

Do the employees actually know anything? I’m constantly told “ we can’t access that info it’s a different department.” 

It’s the same account. Mine. Why wouldn’t everything just be notated on a single profile? How in efficient is that? Is AT&T purposely trying to make things difficult for customers? I feel like I’m dealing with an insurance company.

I AM SO UPSET AT AT&T FOR OUTSOURCING TO JAMAICA AND THE PHILLIPINES BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW THEIR (Edited per community guidelines) FROM A HOLE IN THE GROUND...   NOT ONLY DID THEY SCREW UP MY ORDER, BUT REFUSED TO UNPARK MY PHONE SO IT COULD BE ACTIVATED.    SPEAK (Edited per community guidelines)ING ENGLISH WHEN YOU TALK TO A CUSTOMER IN THE US BTW.  AND WHEN THE STORE MANAGER AT A CORPORATE STORE TRIED TO DEAL WITH THIS ISSUE WITH THEM , THEY SCREWED WITH HIM TOO AND DELETED THE ORDER ON PURPOSE BECAUSE HE WAS GETTING IRRITATED WITH THEM.   I BETTER GET A CALL FROM LEGACY CUSTOMER SUPPORT ON MONDAY WHERE MY CREDIT OF $700.00 WILL BE APPLIED TO THE IPHONE12 PRO-MAX 512GB;  OR YOU WILL FIND A TON OF AMAZON BASED ACCOUNTS BEING PORTED OUT TO A COMPETITOR.  THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT A VETERAN OF 23 YEARS IN THE MARINE CORP AND A FIRST RESPONDER.   AND IF YOU DONT LIKE HOW I PUT IT, TOO (Edited per community guidelines)ING BAD BECAUSE THEY LOST THE TRADE IN SUPPLIES THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE SENT FOR THE $700.00 CREDIT FOR THE TRADED IN PHONE I WAS SUPPOSED TO SEND BACK.   SOMEONE DO YOUR (Edited per community guidelines) JOB AND FIX THIS (Edited per community guidelines) OR THIS COMMENT WILL BE THE LEAST OF YOUR WORRIES AS I HAVE ALSO SOUGHT TO BRING A (Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines) ON AT&T.   IF THIS IS NOT FIXED MONDAY, THE SUIT WILL BE FILED TUESDAY.      SO HAVE FUN WITH THAT ON WENDESDAY WHEN THE OVERSEAS OUTSOURCING IS CANCELLED.

Go thru with the FCC  put in a complaint. I worked with there cust service for 10 mon. Never got anywhere in fact tgey were lying to me that they did their job and never even did anything dint even record it. I kept names dates and everything. Here there not even with att they are a outsourced group that knows nothing finally went with the FCC (office of Pres comes up)and it took another couple weeks but i got all back pay and full credit on my 3 phones that were to be free. Do that.  You will be pleased.

ATT is all (Edited per community guidelines) with the trade program I have 5 months waiting for my trade credit and nothing. I have called like 20 times and they just keep telling me I have to wait for an email or call by the team support it's all lies, (Edited per community guidelines) this company. (they basically stole my phones)

I traded in a perfect iphone 6s plus I have video and photo to prove it I tried to call the service center and complain because they state that that phone doesn't work it works and perfectly also stated that the phone has a broken or burnt in screen it doesn't they hung up on me when I called before I even finished the sentence I would like the phone back or someone to investigate because that phone is perfect

I am really upset right now!  After reading all of these posts, I am angry at myself.  I usually do a lot of research before making big decisions like changing cell phone service and/or trading in my phones.  But, I know that AT&T is right up there with the other large service providers...they've been around a long time...I haven't heard any bad about them...and Sam's Club is partnered with them...which is where I signed up for the service.  Surely Sam's Club must trust AT&T!

So, I shipped my two perfectly, and I mean perfect cells phones in for a trade in because it was a good deal when I decided to change from Verizon to AT&T.  Now I'm reading these comments.  My trade in hasn't been that long ago. Just about 2-3 weeks.  I received that email saying they were received and processed. But, every time I check the status, nothing further has happened.  The rep signing me up said our phones would receive $700 and $350.  

I will keep you posted to report back on the status.  However, I'm about ready to file a report...and you bet your sweet petunias I will fight if they want one!

Oh!  And another thing.  Where the heck are the expected customer service comments from AT&T regarding all of these complaints.  Don't they realize that their 3rd party vendor (trade in handler) is their face.  If I wind up having the same experience I'm hearing here, I will pay off my phones in full and cancel my service with them.  If I have to count it as lesson learned then so be it.  I won't give AT&T one more red cent.  And I will make it know on every social media outlet I have access to and tell every person I know.  Goodbye!

Does not matter, they will tell you it was not working when they received. AT&T Trade In is a scam.
