AT&T says they'll accept Razr 40 Ultra for trade-in, but they dont. Paid off my phone for nothing, lost promo credits.

After some additional research, Im learning that the Razr+ hasn't been selling as well. This makes a ton of sense now that I know AT&T is saying it's eligible for trade-in, but its really not. Evidence: https://tradein.att.com/offer-details & https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bxYQuJTJy3YoPlUfmxK2Y8z6gMtVaKgs/view?usp=share_link

Most of my replies are being deleted or blocked, they wont even let me post pictures now that I've uncovered the truth…

They are getting hung up on the technical name of this years versions, when in actuality it seems like they don't want to buy them back bc reselling them might be just as hard. Gaslighting me to believe otherwise. Even if it was a mistake to list on he offer details, some sort of remedy or honoring because it’s still up, would’ve been appreciated. I’m just another loyal customer who they believe will stay regardless. Not the case.

Paid my phone off by misleading advertising. Now I'm being told there's no way AT&T will accept either the Razr+ or Razr 40 Ultra. BBB?

And before anyone says the Razr 40 Ultra and the Razr+ are different phones, Lenovo/Motorola would like to have a word.

1) AT&T's trade-in doc. "Razr 40 Ultra" Fine print still unchanged.

2) Motorola confirming them as the same model using their Trade-In assessment
3) AT&T excluding the aforementioned model(s) from their Trade-In Evaluation {40 Ultra in fine print, not in evaluation}
4) Lenovo also confirms both models are the synonymous, contrary to AT&T's excuses.

The wireless account is now closed. I forfeited the promo credits (reducing the installment payment to $5/month. I paid over $900 expecting to trade in. It’s handled with another carrier now though.

AT&T does not even get your trade in phone, it goes straight to a third party recycler. So you claiming they won’t take it because they will have a hard time reselling it is nonsense.

It's interesting how some users are allowed to be condescending and dismissive without being reported or blocked. @Lockdowncraziness I recommend not getting too fixated on the minor details, but instead the central plot: AT&T is offering to accept a phone that they are not accepting. Apply this advice to other facets of your life.

Nothing I said was condescending. Just stated a fact. You did violate forum rules previously and were block so you created another profile, correct? 🙄 Maybe stick to the facts.

Hi there, we understand the situation you're in, and we'd like to help you get this sorted out as soon as possible.

Due to the Motorola Razr Ultra being a recently released device, it may not be open for trade-in yet. However, we'd like to look into why you have stopped receiving your promo credits even after you paid the device off.

We're going to reach out to you in DM to take a closer look at account related details, and see how we can help you. Please look out for a DM notification from us.

We look forward to speaking with you!
