How do I change my Digital Life device batteries?

Here are some quick steps to change the batteries for your Digital Life devices.

Replacing Digital Life Batteries:

Click Here to chat with a Digital Life support (or call 855-288-2727) to have your system placed in test mode to prevent a false alarm.

  1. Using a flathead screwdriver, pop off the top cap of the recessed sensor found on the side of your door
  2. Pull the battery out of the case and replace with the new CR2 Lithium battery
  3. The positive (+) side of the battery should be facing up
  4. Slide unit back into the case and replace cover

  1. Pop open the case using a flat head screwdriver or coin
  2. Take out the old battery
  3. Replace with a new CR2032 Lithium battery
    The positive (+) side should face up
  4. Replace the cover

  1. Unplug your DLC from the electrical outlet
  2. Place the blade of flat head screw driver into the slot of the screw on the battery compartment door and turn to open the compartment
  3. Use the tab to pull the battery out far enough so you can remove the terminal wires
    *Please note the battery is a little heavy. Hold the battery securely while removing the wires
  4. Remove the wires from the terminals
  5. Remove old battery
  6. Connect the new battery.  Make sure to connect the red wire to the positive terminal and the black wire to the negative terminal
  7. Insert battery and wires back into the compartment and push the tab back up so it is flush with the battery
  8. Close the battery door and secure by tightening the screw back with the flathead screwdriver
  9. Plug the DLC back into the electrical outlet

*Please use the included prepaid return label to return your old battery to Digital Life for recycling
