Wireless Internet Device Says No Internet

I've had two IFWA-40 wireless internet devices.  Both connect to the LTE network but neither would make an internet connection, even with the strongest reception possible.  I've spent an entire day with tech support who, although being supportive, weren't much help.  Has anyone had this problem and been able to solve it?

Are you on a plan that excepts a dedicated hotspot device? AT&T has very limited data connect plan options.  If you are using a plan that does not allow a dedicated hotspot, of course the device will not function. AT&T Has been sweeping IMEI and been blocking incorrect devices from service.

I finally got it fixed.  Took a call to AT &T retail support.  They pushed a software update.

I'll be curious if this fix stays, there's been a ton of other threads reporting dropping of network connectivity over standard 80 (HTTP) and HTTPS (443) ports, likely because of the deep packet inspection and proxy server they use.
