If it's an AT&T branded phone it has to be on the AT&T network.  That means in the USA and using an AT&T SIM card for service.

Hi khizar6456, we are here to help get your LG G8X software updated to Android 10!

 To get started:

  1. Make sure your device's battery is at least 80% charged.
  2. Connect to available WI-Fi.
  3. Have enough space for the new update, the file size of Android version 10 is 197MB.
  4. Make sure you're in the U.S and on our wireless network.

To update your device software:

  1. Swipe down from the Notification bar and select Settings.
  2. Scroll to and select System, then About Phone.
  3. Select Software update, then Update now.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
  5. The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.

Verify software update

  1. Swipe down from the Notification bar and select Settings.
  2. Select System.
  3. Scroll to and select About phone then, Software information.
  4. If the Android and Software versions don’t match the current update details; perform additional updates until they do.

If this does not help and you have an unlocked phone, we recommend reaching out to LG, for further assistance with the update.

Note-

Check out our Wireless Support tool for some great step-by-step troubleshooting steps to help get your LG G8 ThinQ updated.

Also, is your device an AT&T branded device? As suggested above, if not, please reach out to LG Support for further assistance.

Let us know if this helps!

Thank you
