Very poor signal

Hello recently moved to a new house from another state had great signal full bars.

But after moving into our new home this location has very poor service 1 bar on all phones that we have we have iPhone 13

S9+ and a s20 ultra.  All the phones are getting 1 bar we travel up the rd about 5 miles only to get 2 bars.  When there are 2 towers about 15 miles away. I've talked to multiple people and they say get  Verizon but I don't want Verizon  I would like to stay with att and get this fixed but I need service my job requires it.  Anyone have any recommendations

@Thomasmcdaniel9

1. Use WiFi-C (WiFi Calling).

2. Purchase the AT&T Cell Booster (which is not a cellular booster but a femtocell)

3. Purchase a cellular booster.

4. Switch to Verizon or someone else who offers better coverage in your area.

See my AT&T Cell Booster Tech Guide for information on the Cell Booster, or my Cellular Booster Guide for a primer on what cellular boosters can and can not do. Both are linked in my sig line.

AT&T's $290 femtocell (AKA cellular booster) requires wired home internet service. Home internet service would provide you with Wi-Fi calling ability for free, on all the phones you listed.  So you would not need the femtocell.

The Femtocell does not have a 5 mi range and is not portable. If you have no service for 5 mi around your home, it is not going to resolve that problem.

You need to switch service providers to one that covers your area. One that will work when the power goes out or when you're 1 mi away from home

Time to ask your neighbors which service provider they use

I checked with the neighbor they use Verizon.  But it's the same as AT&T in the area I live so there's really no good option i did do some signal searching if I go about two miles east parallel to my property I get full bars. So my guess is the tower only uses one direction to beam the signal. AT&T should add a second transmitter on the back of the tower that would resolve the issue

It's not as simple as strapping on another transmitter. The FCC controls what is done with the tower and if it's a shared tower, the signal propagation may be limited.
