Vehicle Hotspot - NO INTERNET

Why has AT&T not been able to fix the issue of no internet on a vehicle hotspot.  Never notified it was a problem until I called and demanded a refund for the last few months.

WHEN WILL THIS BE RESOLVED?

How do you know it’s ATT’s problem and not the vehicle hotspot? There are many vehicles with built in hotspot devices that are either no longer compatible with ATT since the 3G network shutdown or they need an update from the vehicle manufacturer. Have you verified your vehicle isn’t one of them?

Because I called them and they admitted it was a 'AT&T Network' problem!

Ok, if you say so but agents have been known to be wrong. They’ve also been known to admit to something like that being ATT’s problem just to get the customer off the phone. Most of the complaints here about vehicle hotspots are they can’t find anyone who knows anything about Connected Car. You probablyshould verify your vehicle hotspot isn’t actually the issue.

I also have the "No Wi-Fi" problem with my AT&T Connected Car. 

I bought my 2018 Grand Cherokee in December 2019 as a pre-owned vehicle and immediately subscribed to the service, unlimited data plan for multiple years, very expensive. The vehicle hotspot worked fine until approximately late 2021. 

In January 2022 I started paying closer attention and realized it was out. I spoke with AT&T customer service multiple times January-March and got the same answer, they would "escalate" the repair ticket. 

April 2022 they began saying the problem was known to be with their network, not my car, and a fix that was guaranteed to work was coming by June 1st, and asked that I PLEASE CONTINUE TO BE PATIENT. In May 2022 my vehicle hotspot started working, lasted about a month or 2 and by July 2022 I noticed it was out again every day. 

I called customer service again yesterday and got the same vague reply, they know it's an issue and hope to have a fix for it eventually. No technical explanation given, no 3G/4G/5G explanation, no "take your car to your dealer" suggestion, no "your vehicle software is out of date" suggestion (my software has been updated), etc etc. 

We have relied on the hotspot when cell tower strength was weak, the vehicle has a larger antenna and can still work when our phone can barely see a signal. Not having the hotspot available and working when traveling is a huge disappointment and to have customer service repeat time and again they know its a problem and they hope to eventually fix it is an even bigger disappointment. 

I am not a happy AT&T customer.
