Using WiFi calling with Pixel 7
I have a Google Pixel 7 model number GVU6C. I have been using an MVNO (Red Pocket mobile) on their GSMA (AT&T) system. I can not activate WiFi calling and can not use unconditional call forwarding. WiFi calling button just replies "unable to activate. Try later". When trying unconditional call forwarding I get the message "Generic Failure". Red Pocket has no answer. I would switch to AT&T but I want to be sure if these features will work with their service. The AT&T stores have no answer. I am particularly interested in the prepaid one year service from AT&T.

Was that a joke response? AT&T no help at all
@dowrh2
If your Pixel 7 is the North American unlocked version, it should get full services on AT&T..
If it is a version from a different service provider it may not get full services, not Wi-Fi calling and possibly not 5G.
If it is not a North American version it may not be allowed on AT&T at all. Please check the IMEI

In the end, red pocket may be an MVNO of AT&T but it is a separate business and they have their own rules. I don't know whether they allow Wi-Fi calling on their service plans at all. If you have not contacted their customer support, I would give that a try before you decide to change carriers

That's a legitimate question, dowrh2. When it comes to determining whether a phone you've previously used on another network is compatible with Wi-Fi Calling and Call Forwarding on AT&T, here's what you need to know.
If your phone is branded an AT&T device then it will be able to use those features on our network. For those devices that are unlocked and brought over to AT&T we cannot guarantee the capabilities or performance of any device that was not purchased directly from AT&T or an authorized retailer of AT&T.
Even if AT&T sells the same make and model, a device sold by another carrier or by the device manufacturer may function differently. Nevertheless, your Google Pixel 7 is listed as a compatible device.
We hope this information helps. Reach back out to us and let us know if you need any other assistance with AT&T products and services.
