Using computer to download/transfer apps to htc 610 desire

Due to unemployment/loimited employment  for the past few years (for health reasons),  I cannot afford to use my cell phone except as a camera/alarm clock.  But I want to be able to show pdf's of coupons sent to me (I cannot print them out).  So I need to download a pdf reader phone app using my computer and transfer it via usb cable to my htc 610 desire.  Either that or access the web via my usb cable to computer hookup (I do not use wifi -- strong radio signals give me headaches -- I figured that out driving to/from college in the late 1970's/early 80's along a mountainous route...  note I kept my cell phone off or on airplane mode except when using it as a cell phone for that reason).

Thank you for any assistance.

Greetings @awaykent,

Thanks for providing us with that information. Unfortunately there isn't any alternatives to download a PDF Reader without the use of WiFi. Most applications require you to use WiFi to download.

Hello @awaykent,

We can definitely assist you with transferring files from your computer to your cell phone. You can follow the steps at this link to Learn how to transfer files to or from your device and a computer. Let us know if this helps.

@awaykent Link below is a web article to use your computer’s internet connection to connect your Android phone to the internet. After connection you will need to download Adobe Reader from the Google Play Store.

You can can google on how to do this and find other links.

I already know how to transfer files. The pdf file is already transferred
to the phone. But I have no idea how to (without using wifi, which I do
not use for headache reasons) download a pdf reader for the phone using the
computer.
