Using a non AT&T SIM card in my phone

Two years ago I bought an AT&T Go Phone Z222 PIB, Product SKU ACATAT004023 to use while I was in the States. Now that I have returned to Italy where I mostly live, I would like to be able to use the phone with a Sim card from an Italian provider. Is this possible? It's nice to have an extra phone when friends and relatives visit who don't want to use their expensive plans overseas! Thanks!

You can submit a request here.  https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/#/

It may not be eligible for unlocking.   Even if you can unlock it, it is not a world phone and has few bands, designed for US carrier.

Thanks lizdance40, I'm waiting for the unlock info now, we'll see if it can be used.
