Unlocked LG K92 Locked After Update

I bought an unlocked LG K92 phone full price from Newegg in May 2022, the device has worked well and features such as WiFi calling were working perfectly, i am a non ATT subscriber but my carrier is on the ATT network, ATT pushed an update to my device this past Friday night and a few updates last week and now i have no cell service and my device is listed as Locked by ATT,i can receive text messages and i can use data but i cant call neither receive calls and my WiFi calling option is now greyed out, ATT Unlock device website asks that i call the 800 331 0500 no if i am the owner and the Support agent on that line tells me to go back to the unlock webpage, i am NOT an ATT subscriber but this situation only makes me want to subscribe to an AT&T competitor, is there a go around since the firm that sold the device to me on Newegg cant be reached and i believe the device was unlocked since i have used it with no issue till three days ago,any advice?

This is not a locked device.  But it does seem that the device is no longer compatible with your mvno. Each mvno has its own rules about which devices they will and will not allow. You need to contact your own provider and find out if your phone is being excluded.

@formerlyknownas : Thanks for the post, just an update my MVNO has informed us that some of the users on the ATT have been experiencing issues since the weekend and are working to sort it out, i swapped my MVNO SIM and used a different device and lo and behold it can call and receive calls..so my original suspicion that AT&T pushed an update that locked some previously unlocked devices are valid, how else would i be using a phone for 6 months plus then suddenly receive back to back updates from AT&T that dont give an option of opting out..then i lose my WiFi calling/VoLTE and finally my ability to call? My IMEI is listed as blocked on ATT sim unblock checker and wasnt there before, am not sure what ATT aims to achieve, but it wont gain them customers, it only serves to sabotage their own MVNO corporate clients

Again, this is not a lock. If the device was carrier locked, it would not work at all.  Software updates do not cause a phone to become a carrier locked.

Also AT&T locked devices still work on its mvnos. The problem is voice over LTE.

Am not sure if a problem with VoLTE would impact the ability to make and receive calls, all in all..the facts are, AT&T pushed updates onto my phone(it still has AT&T apps) and the updates automatically installed and my phone issues began, my MVNO have confirmed the issue is not on their end but AT&T and i am not the only one, so whatever terms we use..lock, jail, etc the truth is AT&T caused this
