unlock request still pending

I'm trying to unlock an old iPhone purchased thru AT&T. I tried doing this myself using the unlock (https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/). I used a email address, which filtered out all emails that it suspects as spam. As a result I can never receive any emails sent by the unlock portal.

 

So the issue is that the request is stuck in a Pending state, waiting for me to click Confirm on the email I never received. I also can't submit a new request if there is a request already pending for that IMEI device number.

 

I'm trying to Cancel the request and resubmit it using a different email address. I waited a week to see if the request would timeout and let me create a new Request, but no luck.

I put a request in on 7/25/20 and my request is still pending. what can be done?

Hey there @Sashaj!

 

We want to look into that device unlock request for you. We just need a little more information. Make sure to check all folders in your email besides Inbox and Spam as the confirmation message could've easily been directed to any of your files.

 

Also, it's recommended that you verify that your device has been active on the AT&T network for at least 60 days and meets our other eligibility requirements specified here.

I have checked all folders for the email and I still have not received any request number. I can't seem to find any other way to get it to get canceled as I called customer service and they said only tech support could help but tech support said that I need to use a chat which the chat didn't help because I didn't have an account with AT&t. The only thing that they could do is look up and see that it is eligible to be unlocked but they can't cancel the request or unlock the phone themselves.
