Unlock Device active on another AT&T account

I am trying to unlock my google pixel 7 pro, I do not live in the USA, with the physical sim I have no problems but when I try to add an esim it only allows me to add an AT&T esim so I guess it is blocked, when I try to make the unlock request I get the following error
'The device you want to unlock is active on another AT&T account. The account owner needs to remove the device from their account first. For assistance, call 800.331.0500.'

Unless that account is yours from AT&T prepaid and previously being in the USA, there's absolutely nothing you can do. Whoever used the phone before will have to remove it from their account or cancel service on their own. If they canceled service it can take 60 days for the phone to deregister from AT&T
