Unable To Unlock an AT&T Device with IMEI Number

I have tried to unlock a a fully paid AT&T device using the IMEI number. First AT&T cancelled my request after I confirmed it from my email, then with every other attempt the website has been giving me a message, "We're having technical issues right now. Please give us a few minutes to sort it out then try again."

Are you outside of the USA? People often report difficulties using the unlock portal from outside the USA.

Do not use Gmail. Gmail blocks messages from computer.  Yahoo works.

Is your device eligible for unlocking?

Ideally your phone is still being used on AT&T so that the IMEI is still registered in their database.  The device must be paid off, The related account must be in good standing.

Good morning @Tomeijw, it's important to us that your activation is completely quickly, and we're here to help!

Has the device been activated on an AT&T account previously? For a device bought at full price, you must have an AT&T wireless account that has been active for 60 days if the account is Postpaid or 6 months if it is Prepaid. Additionally, you must wait at least 60 days from the purchase date to be eligible to unlock.
