Transferring photos

I have a ZTE model #2223 and I use to just plug it via an usb cable to my laptop and then I could view, transfer photos to my HP laptop. Now for some reason the only thing it does when I plug it into my laptop is charge! How do I fix this?

Hello @mrod112704

Thanks for your original post (OP).

We can definitely help you Transfer device data to your computer. You can connect with a USB ↔ microUSB cable, or establish a Bluetooth transfer.

There are different types of USB ↔ microUSB cables out there. Some are use USB for charge only, while others may charge, and Sync. Are you using the original branded cable that came with the device, or an aftermarket cable?  When you plug the USB to PC, then microUSB to ZTE Z2223, does windows recognize the device, or offer to search for a driver?

Bluetooth transfer may be possible if your Windows PC is loaded with MS Windows 7 or later. In Windows 7:

  1.  Make your ZTE Z223 Bluetooth discoverable.
    • From the home screen, select Menu.
    • Select Settings, then Connections.
    • Select Bluetooth.
    • When Bluetooth is on, the icon will display in the Notifications bar.
    • To select your PC. select Search for new device.
  2.  On your PC
    • Select the Start button > Devices and Printers
    • Select Add a device > select the device > Next.
    • Follow any other instructions that might appear.

Once you have successfully paired your Z223 to your PC by Bluetooth the devices will automatically connect anytime the two devices are in range with Bluetooth turned on.

We hope the links and step-by-step instructions help. Please post back when you have successfully transferred your photos.

Hello @mrod112704,

We're happy to help! Please follow these steps and ensure that the USB Debugging option is not checked: Go to Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging. If your computer still does not recognize your device, please try restarting your phone.

Let us know if you have any further questions!
