Trade-in promo

I got into a trade-in promo and got 800$ off my new phone, but I can’t pay off it in the website, the promo doesn’t attach, I do only receive the discount in the monthly bill. Is there a way I can pay off my device with my discount?

It’s a monthly credit, not a lump sum.  For a 36 month installment plan, you get a bill credit of $22.22 (1/36 of $800) on every monthly bill.  You have to keep getting bills for 36 months to get the total $800 credit.  You can certainly pay off the phone at any time with your own money, but you’ll need to keep the line and minimum data plan for the entire 36 months if you want the full $800 back.

No. If you read the trade in terms you would see that it's only a monthly credit. If you want the full $800 off you need to stick with the installment agreement and get your promo credits

Hey @CyberSec380, let's get you the help you need!

If you want full promo credits, you need to be on the installment agreement for the entire 36 months.

@Mcmmartins  If you already sent in your trade, or handed it off at a store, you aren’t getting it back.

That's too bad that I did not know about the credit during the 36-mo period, instead of an instant credit for my only 1.5 yr old trade-in.  The ATT rep never explained to me, perhaps in the agreement I signed at the end of the deal closing.
