We're here to help with your phone call concerns @Jblackburn01. Not being able to be heard or hear people when you make or receive calls can be quite disheartening. I will gladly assist you with this.
We encourage you to review your in call options with your Sonim XP5800. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to ensure that your device is set up correctly for voice calls, and that your in-call options are not muting the users voice.
After reviewing your In-call settings and you are still expereining the inability to hear users voice. We recommend that you troubleshoot your wireless call connection.
A last resort would be a factory reset. This will revert your phone's voice settings back to default. Please backup your information prior. You can do this by heading over to our Device Support page. Select your make and model > Tutorials > Backup & Restore. The reset instructions are also in here, under Tutorials > Troubleshooting > Reset Device.
If you find that your settings are correct, and that you have a sufficient wireless connection. There may be a possiblity that your speaker has been impacted. Sign in to get device protection and warranty info for your device. If a device is under warranty, the manufacturer will repair or replace it if something happens during a certain time period. Device protection you have to pay for. It covers loss, theft, and damage. It also covers malfunctions that aren’t covered by a warranty.
Try out the options above and meet us back here if you have any questions. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.
