Slow wi fi

My internet provider says I should be getting between 60/80 MB

I did a wireless test and was only getting 40MB.  When I did a wired test I was getting 75MB

My provider says I must have a problem between my router and my laptop and they would send an engineer at a cost of £140.

Before i lay out money i would be grateful if the community had any suggestions.

This is a customer populated forum for cell phone users. Unless you are using a mobile hotspot device you are in the wrong section of AT&T forum.

I just noticed the original poster quoted the service fee in British Pounds not in American dollars. I don't know where the original poster is, but it seems unlikely that he's spending British pounds on AT&T internet service in the United States.  

And in either case I still believe this belongs in the internet for them and is not a wireless issue and is not an issue for AT&T at all, but should be addressed with the manufacturer of the printer
