Slow Mobile Devices – Troubleshooting and Things to Know From AT&T
Troubleshoot Your Slow Mobile Device
Oh man, if you found this article we know it is not good! This means your device is not running like it should! There are a few reasons why your device is running slower than normal, freezing, restarting, or unable to download files & apps. I cannot promise I can get your device back to how it was but I will try to get it close!
Cause for slow devices
- Too many apps
- Not enough memory
- Ads running
- Spyware
- Malware
- Viruses
- Device Damage
Simple Fix
- Restart the device
- Remove unneeded or unused apps
- Erase unneeded files or pictures (store them on a micro SD card or the cloud.
- Install the latest version of the OS.
Hacked Device
If your device is affected by a virus, malware, or spyware, the following may help:
- Run a security scan – download our AT&T Mobile Security app.
Damaged Device
If your phone has been dropped, crushed or some other means of physical damage, this can prevent the device from working as intended. It can even affect call quality as the antenna could be compromised. Replacing or repairing is an option. You may be able to use AT&T Device Protection in this instance.
